Mission Statement

Our mission is to deliver what you deserve. Expertise in the mental health field, ethical, experienced therapists available when you call.

At LCO we know that many people are anxious or even embarrassed when considering seeking help for mental health or substance dependence. In fact, the Surgeon General wrote a report in 1999, and to paraphrase, it stated that one out of every five Americans has a diagnosable mental health issue and two-thirds of those people will never get help. Why? Because there is a stigma attached to getting mental health services? Or is it because of busy schedules? Maybe, it is because there are no available therapists in the area? No matter which one of these reasons apply  LCO seeks to overcome these obstacles...

We believe that telephonic therapy is one of the best, most convenient, discreet, methods of treatment now being offered. Telephonic Therapy is a helpful and effective alternative to traditional therapy. Does it take the place of traditional practices? No, not at all. It is not a substitute for in person psychotherapy. However, if any of the situations listed above applies to you then telephonic therapy is both  useful and convenient. If you have wondered about counseling it would help to keep this in mind. Everyone has life changes. These are to be expected. Everyone has difficulties with becoming overwhelmed by some aspect of their lives. We are human. It is perfectly normal to experience a wide range of emotions. Dealing with life events and not having answers does not make you “crazy,” or “mentally ill.” Our goal at LCO is to provide you with a trained therapist to help you manage and cope with these experiences.
Thousands of times per day people search the internet for Grief Counseling, or relational issues, work related problems, or life management questions. At LCO, a licensed, experienced, ethical and professional therapist is here for you. There is no reason to “go it alone.” The most important mission statement we can make is our dedication to ensuring that you do not have to.
Many clients have questions regarding Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Life Coaching, and Client Centered Therapies. Again, we are committed to helping you answer these questions so you have the information you need to make the best decision about beginning counseling.

Can you name one person that you know who has not gone through grief, loss, relationship issues, or work issues? We can’t either. All of it is part of being alive and being human.
Yes, telephonic therapy is a fairly recent development in the field of therapy. Just like the television was a fairly recent development when everyone owned a radio. Ask questions, read the information provided on this site, and know that you have chosen a practice that, while different in its method of delivery, offers respect, professionalism, and understanding. You have a therapist who will answer your questions, offer customized psychological advice, or build an ongoing therapeutic relationship with you to explore personal issues.
How do you get started? Read the information on this site. Fill out the contact form and client data form along with the consent for treatment form. There are also Privacy and Client Right forms that we need signed in order to get started.  Attach them as emails and send to LCO. We use secure, encrypted email to maximize your privacy. Include in this email times that you are available for an Assessment. This process is where we get to talk, ask questions, and decide if telephonic therapy is right for you. If we decide to move forward we will schedule our first appointment at a time convenient for you. Then you  read the forms, including privacy protection, your rights as a client, and a form that authorizes the therapist or gives them permission, to call you and begin counseling. Feel free to read all the information on this site first. You can keep copies of everything in a secure email account such as those provided by Hushmail.com or SAFe-mail.net, both of which are free. There are other services that provide protected email and they are easily found on the internet. On the day of the Assessment or  your Individual Session, you  can go to the form for Fees and click on PayPal for the service you are requesting. You will receive a receipt for payments made and can use this for reimbursement with your insurance company or for tax purposes. That’s it.
Thousands have found the help they need through telephonic or online services. We believe that you can too.

Client Testimonials

I had no idea what to expect when I began therapy. It has helped me more than I can say. After 33 years of marriage my husband and I have discovered a closeness that I believed to be long gone. Thank you Patricia.
